Are Zest Insurance brokers or insurers?

A

Zest Insurance (Willis Australia Limited) are an insurance broking firm. Chubb Insurance Australia Limited (Chubb) is an insurer of the Zest Insurance product. Because Zest Insurance places your insurance under a binding authority from Chubb, we act for Chubb when we place your insurance.

Can I cancel my policy any time and receive a refund?

To cancel your policy, you will need to log into your account.

Log into your account by selecting the

button at the top right corner of our homepage and entering your email and password.

2.

Cancel the policy and you will be refunded the pro-rata amount of your Premium for the policy period you were on cover.

Can I cancel my policy during the policy period?

We understand customer circumstances can change and you may need to cancel your policy. Please note that cancellation terms and conditions will apply. For more information, please refer to your policy wording.

Does my policy need to start immediately?

A

The policy start date is the effective date of your policy. The date you enter will determine your policy start date. Please note, the effective date you enter cannot exceed 45 days from today’s date.

How does Zest Insurance get paid?

A

Zest Insurance (Willis Australia Limited) receives brokerage paid by the insurer on products sold.

Zest Insurance will receive brokerage, which is a percentage of the insurance premium paid by you and allowed to us by the insurer with whom the SME insurance policy is placed.

Some commissions earned by us on a policy may be refunded if the policy in question is cancelled within twelve months of inception.

A policy administration fee (on a per invoice basis) may also apply. We will advise you of the amount of the policy administration fee when we provide you with the insurance quote.

The range of brokerage we earn on the general insurance policies we place will vary depending on the policy you purchased but will generally range from 0% to a maximum of 20%.

How long is the policy period?

A

Each Zest Insurance policy has a policy period of 12 months. The policy period begins on the effective date and lasts for exactly 12 months.

How long will it take for my claim to be acknowledged?

A

We will assign and acknowledge your claim within 48 business hours.

A

Please note, your quote will remain valid for 60 days, and a new quote will be required if you wish to proceed after this time.

If I buy online, is my credit card information secure?

A

Your credit card information is encrypted at the moment payment is received. Whether your card is EMV chip, magstripe or contactless, the Zest Insurance payment process follows appropriate security protocols to preserve security during your payment transaction.

Each transaction is monitored to detect suspicious behaviours from the moment it is processed to settlement. Proprietary algorithms are used to detect and freeze malicious or suspicious payment activity.
